Hochstein: The United States did not give the green light

The US Special Envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein wrote on X: "Lots of wrong, irresponsible reporting these last few days. The US did not 'green light' military operations in Lebanon. Ultimately, only a diplomatic resolution will allow residents to return home. We continue to work w governments of Israel and Lebanon on best path to restore calm."
