Iraq expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Nasrallah: We support Lebanon

Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, who reaffirmed "Iraq's steadfast and principled position in supporting Lebanon and standing by it, and Iraq's continued provision of all the assistance needed by the Lebanese brotherly people," emphasizing "the necessity of coordinating Arab and Islamic efforts to stop the ongoing Zionist assaults that threaten the security and stability of the region."
During the call, he also extended Iraq's condolences, on behalf of the government and people, for the martyrdom of the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his companions.
For his part, Mikati thanked his Iraqi counterpart for "his compassion towards Lebanon and Iraq's ongoing support for Lebanon," stressing "the priority of working to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon."
