The Public Health Emergency Operations Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health, issued a statement announcing that the Israeli artillery shelling with phosphorus bombs on the town of Khiam resulted in a citizen suffering from suffocation, necessitating hospitalization at the Marjayoun Government Hospital for treatment.
