Finance Minister from Dar al-Fatwa: 2025 budget will be presented to cabinet soon

Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, welcomed caretaker Minister of Finance Youssef Khalil at Dar al-Fatwa.
Following the meeting, Minister Khalil expressed his honor in visiting the Mufti, noting the importance of consulting on the nation's current challenges.
The Finance Minister emphasized the need for solidarity and a unified national stance to confront these dangers and mitigate their consequences.
During their conversation, the pair reflected on the legacy of late Prime Minister Salim Al-Huss who was remembered as a devoted statesman committed to Lebanon's unity and its political, economic, and humanitarian fortification.
Minister Khalil also briefed the Mufti on the current economic and financial situation, noting signs of progress toward exiting the crisis and returning to financial stability.
Moreover, he stressed the importance of cooperation among all constitutional institutions in implementing necessary government and legislative measures.
Finally Khalil reaffirmed the government's commitment to constitutional deadlines, announcing that “the 2025 budget is in its final stages and will be presented to the cabinet in the coming days.”
