Erdogan: Turkey will end its operations in northern Iraq soon

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that his country will end the “Claw-Lock” operation carried out across the border in northern Iraq soon, according to Reuters.
"We will very soon close the lock on the Claw operations area in northern Iraq,” Erdogan said at the National Defense University graduation ceremony.
Turkish forces have been carrying out cross-border operations against PKK fighters in northern Iraq since 2019.
The PKK, which is classified as a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, took up arms against the Turkish state in 1984...More than 40,000 were killed in the rebellion.
