Dar al-Fatwa Announces the Date of the First Day of Eid al-Adha

In a statement, Lebanon's Dar al-Fatwa vannounced that "the Day of Arafah, the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, falls on Saturday, June 15th of this year. Accordingly, Sunday, the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha, corresponding to June 16th, 2024."
The Dar al-Fatwa congratulated the pilgrims, wishing them "a blessed Hajj, valued efforts, and forgiven sins." It also congratulated Muslims in general on this blessed Eid, asking Almighty Allah to bring it back upon them and upon all Lebanese with goodness, security, peace, and stability."
The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, will leave Beirut tomorrow morning, Saturday, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj rituals as a guest of the royal ceremonies.
