Member of the Strong Republic Bloc, MP Antoine Habchi, announced from the Grand Serail that he met with the Emergency and Crisis Management Team to discuss the situation of the displaced people, expressing regret that they could not avoid the current crisis. He noted that the Deir al-Ahmar area is now accommodating between 9,000 and 10,000 displaced individuals, which is more than five times the government's plan, leading to significant consequences.
Habchi emphasized There are serious problems in the shelters, with diseases spreading and garbage is accumulating, while municipalities lack the resources to address this issue. He stressed on the importance of not leaving the people on the streets, as it will impact all of Lebanon, and the crisis is extremely serious.
