A warning has been issued to residents of 25 southern towns

The Israeli army has warned residents of 25 towns in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X: "An urgent statement to the residents of the following villages in southern Lebanon: Houla, Meiss El Jabal, Blida, Mhaibib, Chaqra, Baraachit, Majdal Selm, Qabrikha, Kouninr, Beit Yahoun, Jmaijmeh, At Tiri, Bani Haiyyan, El Tamriye, Touline, Deir Seryan, Qoussair, Bafliya, Jabal el Aadas, Biyad, Srebbine, Borj Rahhal, Ain Baal, Rachidiyeh, and Hanniyeh: Hezbollah activities compel the Defense Forces to act against it. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately. Anyone near Hezbollah elements, facilities, or weapons is putting their life at risk. Residents of the village, you must evacuate your homes and move immediately north of the Awali River. Attention - you are prohibited from heading south. Any movement toward the south puts your life in danger. We will inform you of the appropriate and safe time to return to your homes."
