The Lebanese Army's Guidance Directorate issued the following statement:
“On September 17, 2024, following directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, Major General Pilot Youssef Ahmed Hneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, contacted Lebanese Army Commander General Joseph Aoun.
As a result, a plane carrying a shipment of medicines and medical supplies was sent to Rafic Hariri International Airport on September 18, 2024.
This aid, provided as a donation from the Kingdom of Jordan, was delivered in response to the recent Israeli attack, which resulted in casualties and injuries across various regions.
The aid was received in the presence of Jordanian Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Al-Hadid, and a representative of General Aoun.”
