Minister of Health Firas Abiad announced that there have been 8 martyrs and over 2,800 injured, including critical cases, due to the explosion of pager devices.
He pointed out that most of the injuries are in the hand, face, or abdomen, with several injuries to the eyes, and emphasized that 'the information about one of the hospitals not receiving the injured is misleading.'
Additionally, reports indicate that the son of MP Ali Ammar was martyred due to the pager explosion, along with injuries to the son of Hezbollah's liaison and coordination unit chief Wafiq Safa, the son of MP Hassan Fadlallah, and the son of Hezbollah leader Mohammad Afif, all with minor injuries.
