Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, met with Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani and Sultan Al-Assiri, Acting Director-General of Qatar Fund for Development, with whom he discussed support for the Lebanese Army.
The Qatar Fund announced a $15 million donation to provide fuel for the Army for three months, aimed at strengthening its capacity amid Lebanon's economic challenges.
General Aoun expressed gratitude for the grant, highlighting it as a testament to Qatar's ongoing commitment to the Lebanese-Qatari friendship and Lebanon's security and stability during these exceptional times.
