Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, met with members of the committee formed by the Gathering of Christian Municipalities.
The committee, which includes representatives from the municipalities of Rmeish, Aalma, Ain Ebel, and Rachaya Al-Fakhar, is conducting a series of visits to political leaders.
During the meeting, the general conditions and challenges facing the border region, particularly the Christian towns, were discussed. Key issues included the targeting of homes, forests, orchards, and olive groves by adversaries. The discussion also covered ways to support local civil defense centers.
The meeting included a detailed review of the indirect economic damages, especially those affecting the education sector. An agreement was reached to continue meetings and monitor developments in the southern region and their implications.
MP Bassil emphasized the importance of solidarity and national unity in these difficult times.
