Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors, and coordination with the international partners, to face cyber security threats.
"Cyber security is a top priority and a key challenge facing Lebanon and the entire world," Mikati said at the inauguration of the Arab Internet and Telecom Union (ARISPA) conference at the Grand Serail.
"The National Cyber Security Committee, which includes the concerned ministries and administration, is exerting tremendous efforts in that respect," he added.
"We renew commitment to providing the required cyberspace against the malicious cyber security attacks, in tight coordination with all the concerned ministries and apparatuses, and in collaboration with the European Union and all the international partners," said Mikati.
"In order to face cyber security threats, we have no choice but to build bridges of cooperation between the decisive actors in the public and private sectors, in collaboration with our international partners," he underlined.
