Caretaker Minister of Public Works Ali Hamieh welcomed the newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli.
The introductory meeting marked the beginning of Marcelli's diplomatic mission in Lebanon and included discussions on recent regional developments and various sectors under the ministry's purview.
Minister Hamieh emphasized that "the ongoing developments in Lebanon and the region cannot deter us from our determination to continue enhancing the operations of Lebanese facilities, particularly those under the ministry's jurisdiction."
He further highlighted that "the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in Lebanon is ready to strengthen cooperation with Italy, especially in the transport and port sectors."
