Social media activists circulated a video showing residents of Suwayda, southern Syria, burning the Israeli flag after it was raised by unidentified individuals the previous night on a flagpole at the city's entrance along the Damascus road.
The video captured a young man raising the Israeli flag atop the memorial at "Dawar Al-Ankoud" in Suwayda at night, accompanied by enthusiastic chants, suggesting that the act was carried out under the cover of darkness and away from the eyes of residents and passersby.
Another part of the footage showed young men burning the same Israeli flag that had been raised on the pole, coinciding with the sound of gunfire.
