A year after the outbreak of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and after much back-and-forth and reconnaissance to locate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Israel announced today its success in assassinating him in an operation in Rafah a few days ago. Israeli media noted that two senior Hamas leaders, Mahmoud Hamdan and Hani Hamidan, were found dead alongside him.
