Saudi Arabia says it is concerned about the recent escalation in Lebanon, calling on the international community to fulfill its duties to halt regional conflicts.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is following the developments of the security-related events taking place in Lebanese territory with great concern, and renews its warning of the danger of the violence spreading in the region, and the serious repercussions of the escalation on the security and stability of the region,” a statement from the Foreign Ministry said.
Riyadh also affirmed its support for Lebanese stability and the need to respect its sovereignty in line with international law.
The UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Jordan all voiced similar concerns.
