Surveillance cameras have captured a new eruption of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily in southern Italy.
The eruption began on Wednesday evening, with the volcano spewing fountains of lava and plumes of ash and smoke, reaching several kilometers in height.
It is worth noting that the last eruption of Mount Etna was recorded on August 4th of this year.
Mount Etna, located in eastern Sicily near the cities of Messina and Catania, is one of the largest active volcanoes in Europe, standing at 3,369 meters high. In 2013, the volcano was included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.
