The Israeli military has said it has struck a Palestinian Islamic Jihad missile launch site embedded within a shelter for displaced Palestinians in an area of Khan Younis designated as a “humanitarian zone”.
“The terrorist organizations continue to place IMD [improvised explosive devices] and terrorist infrastructure in the heart of the civilian population, putting it at risk and using it as a human shield,” it said in a post on X.
Israel’s military added that “many efforts were made to reduce the risk of injury to those not involved”.
