But it seems Kit Harington may be setting his sights on a new predatory role in the hit TV show as he was seen jokingly imitating a dragon in a Instagram video posted by his co-star Emilia Clarke on Thursday.
The funny video, which showed Kit, 30, playfully flapping his 'wings' on the GOT set in Northern Ireland was a departure from the usually stony-faced persona the star portrays on screen.
The video Kit is fully decked-out in Jon Snow paraphernalia, including a large black cape.
He stands on a grassy field, which overlooks the gorgeous ocean below.
As the video gets underway, the kooky star starts flapping his cape in the fairly strong breeze, apparently trying to take flight.
It's of course reminiscent of one Daenerys Targaryen's dragons from the most recent episode flying from that very spot.
Emilia, who can be heard giggling in the background of the clip, wrote in her caption 'One pet of a dragon and he thinks he's one of them.'
She followed that up with a series of comedic and lengthy hashtags including, #youknownothingjonsnow, #butyoudoknowhowtonotgetblownoffacliffingaleforsewindssotheresalwaysthat, and #everypunaboutwindicanthinkofinserthere.
The post follows a behind the scenes video released by HBO on Monday that contains an interview with Emilia in which she discusses Dany's latest onscreen interaction with Jon Snow.
