General Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Samir Mazloum said that the spiritual summit to be held at Bkirki, will feature talks high on pressing domestic issues and the regional affairs.
Mazloum noted in a radio interview that religious figures are key players in aligning the vantage points of different factions as well as highlighting the inherent dangers of a headless state.
"The election of a president resolves all pending issues," he insisted.
In remarks about the summit’s recurrence, he dismissed views on turning it into a fixed enterprise, stressing that it is a mechanism concentrated on building robust communications.
