The former NSA contractor Edward Snowden that the United States slapped an arrest warrant for espionage said the US government agency was hacking Chinese mobile phone companies to gather data from millions of text messages.
Tsinghua prestigious University in Beijing which counts China's President Xi Jinping and his predecessor Hu Jintao among its graduates was the target of hacking by US spies, according to information leaked by Snowden in an interview for “South China Morning Post” daily in Hong Kong. The NSA also attacked Pacnet Company, whose fiber-optic network stretches across Asia-the Pacific Ocean.
The former NSA contractor said that NSA is doing many things such as hacking Chinese mobile phone companies to gather data from millions of text messages. The daily pointed out that Snowden has proofs on what he is saying without publishing or mentioning any supporting document.
