Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Wednesday received the European Union's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ralph Tarraf, who came on a congratulatory visit, during which they discussed the bilateral relations and the reactivation of joint projects and committees between Lebanon and the European Union in the next stage.
Discussions also touched on the forthcoming legislative elections.
Minister Bou Habib also welcomed French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo, who handed him a congratulatory letter from his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Discussions touched on Prime Minister Najib Mikati's meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron during his Paris visit.
The pair also dwelt on the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the bilateral relations and the situation of (UNIFIL).
Moreover, Bou Habib met with the Head of the Middle East Department at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Klaus Kramer, and a delegation of the German Development Bank (KfW) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
During the meeting, Bou Habib outlined the government's vision and its determination to carry out real reforms and to hold parliamentary elections on time, welcoming the participation of observers from the German Agency and other agencies to ensure the integrity of the election process.
