Lebanese Ambassador to Canada, Fadi Ziade, deemed on Sunday that the Lebanese citizens residing in Canada are ready to cast their votes and preparations for said event have been completed.
"The preparations for holding the Lebanese elections in various Canadian provinces are in full swing and the Lebanese Embassy in Ottawa has carried out all the instructions received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the success of the electoral process," Ziade said during an interview.
Commenting on the electoral process, the Ambassador stressed "its transparency and the implementation of the law and instructions by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Interior," adding that "he is in process of establishing an operations room at the embassy on election day to keep pace with the process, and receive complaints and solve any problems that may arise."
He finally listed the number of the Lebanese voters registered for the Lebanese elections: Quebec 6280, Ottawa 1661, Toronto 1838, Edmonton 514, Windsor 401, Calgary 231, Vancouver 170, and Halifax 432.
