Prime Minister Saad Hariri chaired today's cabinet meeting at the Grand Serail. He said at the onset of the meeting: "When you hear what some media says about sharp positions and statements regarding issues discussed in the cabinet, you would think that there is a complicated problem between us, that there are serious disputes and we don't talk with one another."
He added: "But the reality is totally different. The Council of Ministers discusses many issues and takes decisions that are for the interest of the people and the country. We are not one political party and there are different points of view, but the way the media presents things does not serve the interest of the people or the country. I believe there are priorities that require solutions before other issues. I call on everyone to calm down and be wise. We can find solutions to all issues through dialogue and quite discussions and not through the adoption of sharp positions and campaigns that lead to reactions from here and there, and harm citizen and the poeple's interests."
