Fadi Skaf, an MTV cameraman, was arrested while performing his duty to photograph a Lebanese Army military helicopter that landed on Dbayeh seaside road after a technical difficulty.
In details, colleague Skaf went to the scene after being informed about the helicopter's forced landing, and photographed the parked helicopter, as many other citizens did with their phones. An army officer then asked him to hand over his camera and put him under arrest.
Skaf then communicated with Head of News Operations at MTV, Francois Ziade, who asked to speak with the officer on the phone. The latter refused to speak on the phone but then agreed later on.
Ziade explained to the officer that Skaff was only performing his duty, adding that he did not have any footage of the helicopter while landing, but only pictures of it parked on a public road overlooking many residential and commercial buildings.
Despite the explanation given, Skaff was taken to an Army Intelligence Center for interrogation.
