Despite speculations that had wrapped the whole Syrian foes meeting in Geneva II, both parties convened and the dream blossomed into reality, a reality that only includes a speech delivered by United Nations and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria, Akhdar al-Ibrahimi.
Away from any media coverage, the adversaries conferred, for three hours, in an attempt to resolve the crisis and bring an end to the carnage that has been prevailing over the Syrian lands. It is worth noting that as Ibrahimi spoke, both parties remained silent, baby steps, hopefully! Towards a permanent cease-fire.
Ibrahimi is to resume meeting with conflicting parties in separate rooms, while a joint session is awaited in the near future.
