First Military Investigative Judge Riad Abu Ghaida charged Friday Omar Hassan al-Assi and his partners for belonging to the Islamic State terrorist group and for taking part in the planning and attempted execution of a terrorist attack in the Hamra Branch of Costa Café.
MTV correspondent reported that al-Assi had been tasked by ISIS commander “Lilo” to detonate his explosive belt inside the coffee shop so as to cause the most human casualties possible.
Al-Assi had also confessed during questioning that he had vowed allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi via
