Lebanon's Cabinet held its first session Thursday since winning the Parliament's vote of on March 20.
At the opening of the session at the Baabda Palace, the president addressed the ministers saying that a security solution to the unrest plaguing the northern city of Tripoli was urgently needed, adding that the army will continue to come under attack as long as it remains a separation force between the belligerent sides.
Suleiman hailed the recent Arab Summit that took place in Kuwait, saying it shored up the army, the Syrian refugees, the Baabda Declaration and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
The President also tasked Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil with following up on the League's resolutions relating to Lebanon.
On a final note, Lebanese Premier Tammam Salam called for adopting a general policy concerning the Syrian displaced and prioritizing Lebanon’s security matters
