Lebanon is not the only country affected by the storm that hit the Middle East, as neighboring countries are also experiencing a blizzard associated with cold winds and floods.
So far, the storm has claimed the lives of 10 people, while others are missing. The most recent casualties were two women who have been found dead in the West Bank after their car was swept away in floods.
Rescue teams continue to exert efforts aimed at helping those stranded by massive flooding and snow. The storm has also caused power poles and trees to fall.
The snow has blanketed Ramallah, while covering Jerusalem with a thin white layer.
In Israel, three people died after their car flipped over due to strong winds.
In Jordan, the Directorate of General Security urged citizens to stay home, unless they can’t avoid it, due to heavy snowfalls and downpours which caused public institutions to shut down.
